02 Dec Family Photos in Bricktown, OKC
I have loved taking photos of this sweet family for many years. Every time I get to see the girls, it’s somuch fun! We took advantage of the beautiful trees and scenery at Bricktown in OKC.
Funny story, I was photographing the three girls together while their parents made sure the girls were smiling nicely and their hair wasn’t all over the place (it was quite a windy day). One of the girls kept calling, “Look out!” Since I was busy shooting photos and the parents were busy on smile and hair duty, her warning didn’t even register with us until…I almost fell into the Bricktown canal! Luckily, I finally listened to her just in the nick of time as I started to stumble. We all got a good laugh and I learned my lesson: if someone tells you to look out, perhaps you should consider looking out. Pretty complicated, huh? It took a first-grader to teach me that one.
On to the pictures!
Oklahoma weather is notoriously unpredictable, and this autumn/winter has been very odd so far, switching between ridiculously freezing and blazingly hot. This was a lucky morning in which the stars aligned and everything was right; beautiful foliage, cool (but not cold) weather. The only drawback was the wind, but hey, this is Oklahoma.
The girls are so awesome! I remember when the twins were still very little and we got them to smile for a photo shoot by asking them what color the trees were. They would shout “Geeeeeeeen!” and give the widest, cutest smiles.
