25 Oct Family Photos, Where the Wind Comes Sweepin’ Down the Plain
Sometime when I’m in the country, I gaze upon the rolling fields and start singing the theme song from the famous Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Oklahoma in my head. Oooooooooklahoma, where the wind comes sweepin’ down the plain…and then I wonder how many Claritins I’ll need later to recover. 🙂
I’ve photographed this family before and had a blast, so when they asked me to do it again, I was elated! Everyone in the family is so nice, and there were enough jokes flying around to keep everyone in stitches the whole way through. Second best of all was the beautiful Oklahoma countryside with the beautiful Oklahoma sunset. The land we belong to is indeed grand, and you are certainly doing fine, Oklahoma.
Okay, enough with the sappy song lyrics. On to a sneak peek of some of my favorite photos from our session (of which there were many)!
As an added bonus, we got to take some extended family photos! It truly was a lot of fun getting to help capture these memories for this family. Perhaps years down the road, they’ll look at the photos and wonder how their boys were ever this young. It blows my mind every time I look through baby photos of my own kiddos, wondering when they managed to get so big and who authorized it, because I certainly didn’t.
It was so nice that, for one evening, time stood still for a couple of hours and I got to see an awesome, kind, loving family enjoy the heck out of each others’ company.
