Sometime when I’m in the country, I gaze upon the rolling fields and start singing the theme song from the famous Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Oklahoma in my head. Oooooooooklahoma, where the wind comes sweepin’ down the plain…and then I wonder how many Claritins I’ll need later to recover. 🙂 (more…)
Anyone who knows me knows I love babies. I was so excited to photograph this sweet baby and her family. Here’s a sneak peek of some of my favorites from our session. Enjoy! (and you’re welcome for the dose of cuteness) (more…)
This family was a lot of fun! We had a great time (and cold time!) taking winter family photos at the Northeast Lions Park. As a special surprise, someone had built a fire in the park’s fireplace!
These girls were so lovely, both inside and out. (more…)
OK. so here’s my problem. I have no objectivity or professionalism when I’m photographing kids. I’ m usually busy squealing about how incredibly cute they are. I had a really hard time keeping it together with this kid in particular during his photography session, because everything he wore, everything he said, and everything he did was beyond cute. I’ve been driving my husband crazy by repeatedly saying “He’s so cute!” in a voice about five octaves higher than my normal one the whole time I was going through his photos. (more…)
I had a great time photographing this brother and sister the the Sam Noble  dinosaur museum! They were both so sweet and it was clear that they love each other very much. It was really cool seeing the joy on the sister’s face and getting to chat with the brother as we walked through the museum. They’re such good kids!
Special thanks also to Sam Noble Museum staff for being so helpful and friendly. (more…)
I am in love with this little girl’s (and her Mom’s) fashion sense! She was full of energy during our photo session and ran from one fun thing to the next. Everything around her was an adventure waiting to happen, and it was so much fun!

One of my favorite photography sessions all year – family photos on the farm!
This is a full on farm, with cows, chickens; the works. It was so beautiful, both on the drive out there and out in the fields. It provided the perfect backdrop for family photos. (more…)
Automobile Alley is one of my favorite places in OKC. There are delicious places to eat (my favorite is Sara Sara Cupcakes because…cupcakes), cool boutiques, funky buildings, and of course, the rich history. I love seeing the before and after photos of places that have been revitalized. When this engaged couple suggested Automobile Alley as a possible spot to do our photo shoot, I was elated! So much fun, the perfect location, and a sweet engaged couple, clearly very much in love. I had so many favorites from this session. Thanks again! (more…)
Just a few shots from the 2014 Oklahoma State Fair in OKC, Sept 11-21. We blew a lottttttttt of $$$ on a lot of food between the boys and I. Here are the verdicts:

Stage Center Theater has been lauded by some as a funky architectural centerpiece to OKC, but marauded by others as an embarrassing eyesore that hinders midtown development and reduces the values of surrounding features such as Bricktown, the Myriad Gardens, and the Cox Convention Center. When I heard that the building would likely be torn down soon to make way for a business center, I had to take the opportunity to get some photos.
